Famous Dragons

Spyro: A young dragon from the Spyro the Dragon and The Legend of Spyro video game series and trilogy. In the old Spyro the Dragon series, Spyro is viewed as a headstrong, young dragon who is somewhat overconfident most of the time, and eager to spring into action. In The Legend of Spyro trilogy, he is viewed as a young dragon who is compassionate for others and is always willing to help them, no matter what happens. Spyro doesn't ask for rewards and is just happy to be a big help to those in danger.

Toothless is a Night Fury dragon from the popular Dreamworks movie How to Train Your Dragon. In this movie, dragons are portrayed as highly misunderstood creatures. The vikings in the movie make it their  occupational hazard to kill dragons because they think they are evil, monstrous creatures who will never hesitate to go for the kill. However, the friendship between Toothless and a young viking named Hiccup proves that dragons are just misunderstood creatures trying to survive in a world that is against them.

Saphira is the dragon from the novel and movie Eragon. In this movie, Saphira and her rider--a young boy named Eragon--struggle against all odds to save the kingdom from a ruthless tyrant who wishes to destroy everything the dragon riders work hard to defend.
